Dear President Bush

President Bush:

You say, "our policies should aim to strengthen families, not undermine them. And changing the definition of marriage would undermine the family structure."

All I have to say in response is this:
According to Merriam Webster's, the foremost and most-widely recongized dictionary publishers...
"Main Entry: mar·riage
Pronunciation: 'mer-ij, 'ma-rij
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English mariage, from Anglo-French, from marier to marry

(1) : the state of being united to a person of the opposite sex as husband or wife in a consensual and contractual relationship recognized by law (2) : the state of being united to a person of the same sex in a relationship like that of a traditional marriage "

Please note definition number 2 my dear sir, and realize that amending the constitution would cause the change in the definition of marriage, not the other way around.

Love and cuddles,
Ryan
