Out in nature

Over the weekend, we resolved to get out of the house and try out some local hiking.  We started the morning early (we still don't have Bubba SENTRIfied yet) to get across the border in time for breakfast at Cafe Presidio in Tubac, AZ.  We hiked a short trail nearby and then drove to the Pena Blanca Recreation Area for some more hiking.  The following are a few snapshots of the beauty of Arizona (and of my furry children, of course):

Maggie looks especially cute, even when she's being a mischeivous little brat and wrapping her leash around our legs, the table legs, and the chair legs in an effort to smell every last inch of concrete on Cafe Presidio's patio.

Grace gives her best, "Why is my daddy leaving me???" face.

At one point, we did some off-roading and I made Anthony stop so I could take some pictures of the local scrub - the dry desert grasses, the spindly little trees...  It's really quite beautiful.

The requisite shot of me and my girls, with some rolling Arizona hills and distant mountains.

That last photo is a Xmas card if I ever saw one.
