If you ever find yourself in southern Arizona, have I found the hairdresser for you! His name is Joseph and he works at the Salon at the Tubac Golf Resort. But don't try to find him using your Garmin GPS - because my Garmin doesn't believe that Tubac, AZ, exists (only Tuba City, AZ, which is a good 50 miles away)...
In any case, he is just simply wonderful. He actually listens to what you want done to your hair and doesn't push his own hair agenda on you. Even better - the prices are reasonable. After living in major U.S. cities for a long time, I've come to accept that I cannot get a decent haircut for less than $70 (before tip). And even then, a hairdresser may not listen to a damn thing I say and I come out looking like a poodle or a newscaster, two looks I am trying to avoid. In any case, at the Salon, a shampoo, cut, and dry costs from $40-50; for me it was $45. And I really like what he's done to my hair. I can live with that.
It's an Aveda salon so all the products used are Aveda, which is a brand that strives to use a lot of organic ingredients so many of you might be happy with that.
Now, I know you might want me to post a picture of my hair, but I'm going to hold off. I'm happy with what it looks like, but I'm waiting until I get it where I want it. We still have some growing to do before I can get it where it needs to be. I just wish I could have Joseph take care of my hair again in the future. Too bad I leave for DC in 3 weeks.
(Maybe I'll just fly back for the cut...?)

This is a bit of a tease to know there's a new haircut and to keep us from seeing a photo... =P

Some things in life just have to remain a mystery on the internets.
